Frank Vicino Endowed Scholarship for Entrepreneurs

The Frank Vicino Endowed Scholarship for Entrepreneurs is generously funded by Mr. Frank T. Vicino, Jr. from Ft. Lauderdale.

At least one scholarship will be awarded each year to a student majoring in entrepreneurship at Florida State University who has financial need. Preference will be given to a student who has been adopted. Each recipient must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA or better in order to be eligible to receive the scholarship each year.

The first student to receive this scholarship is Joshua Nesta. Joshua is a junior in the entrepreneurship major. When asked to describe why he deserves this scholarship Joshua said,

“Ever since I was a young kid I dove headfirst into any project I was working on and would give it 110 percent effort. My adaptability and resilience have been the reason I have made it to Florida State University and the reason that I will one day become successful.”

“The Jim Moran School gave direction to the passion of a group of life long friends to take an idea and turn it into the biggest heart screening nonprofit in the country.”

Evan Ernst, founder of Who We Play For, a nonprofit established to create a national movement to protect the hearts of our youth by providing affordable heart screenings and increasing awareness.
